Housing Support Advocate
The Bridge is seeking a Housing Support who will provide transportation, backup supportive services such as assessments, intakes and a small caseload within the residential and non-residential program serving survivors of domestic/sexual violence.
The Housing Support Advocate will be responsible for maintaining a minimum caseload of five program participants and provide crisis intervention and supportive services as needed, including answering the 24-hour hotline. The Housing Support Advocate will document all services rendered to program participants in a timely and accurate manner and assist the Housing Advocacy Manager and Children’s Program Manager with scheduling Family Service Plans. The role requires flexibility in meeting program participant, agency, and department needs, including working evenings and weekends, and performing other duties as assigned to support the overall agency mission.
Additionally, the Housing Support Advocate will be responsible for transporting program participants to and from appointments and other designated locations, informing participants of drop-off and pick-up times and locations, and ensuring punctual arrival and departure for all scheduled transports. This role includes maintaining the agency van by ensuring cleanliness, fuel levels, and submitting maintenance request forms when tires, tune-ups, or other services are needed. The advocate will provide clear, accurate, and timely information to program participants and staff regarding transportation services and ensure participants are aware of available public transportation options. In addition, the Housing Support Advocate will communicate effectively with staff regarding any concerns related to program participants, maintain accurate hours on the Client Agency Activity Report, and complete required narratives for each participant served. The Advocate will also support the Housing Coordinator with facilitating and entering all EPPA documentation and assist the housing team with duties including, but not limited to: unit inspections, assistance with housing location and placement, landlord negotiation, move-in documentation, re-certifications and updating Coordinated Entry

- Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday with a rotating flex day.
- $37,440 annually

Required Skills & Qualifications
- A High School Diploma/GED required.
- Must have a working knowledge of MS Office suite of programs, specifically MS Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
- Must have own reliable transportation
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, not required.
- Must pass criminal background investigation check
- Must pass drug screen
- Must provide and maintain current TX Driver’s License
- Must provide and maintain clean driving record and annually update driving record
- Must provide and maintain current auto liability insurance
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
- Must be able to lift/carry (40) lbs, and ascend/descend stairs in emergency shelter setting.
